Where does BlueRock provide port drayage?

Our company-operated fleet is concentrated in New York, Savannah, and Houston. Through a vetted U.S. carrier network, we can coordinate drayage at major ports nationwide, including Los Angeles/Long Beach, Seattle/Tacoma, Norfolk, Charleston, Jacksonville, and Miami.

Do you operate your own trucks?

Yes. Our core fleet includes 62 trucks in New York, 6 in Savannah, and 5 in Houston. This direct capacity supports faster response, more stable availability, and better service control in those markets.

Can you handle standard and expedited pickup?

We review both standard and expedited requests. Availability depends on terminal appointments, container release, equipment, driver capacity, last free day, and the requested delivery schedule.

Which terminal requirements can you coordinate?

Our team is familiar with port appointments, empty returns, PierPass, chassis coordination, demurrage, detention, and terminal rules. Exact requirements vary by terminal and shipment.

What happens if a port or equipment exception occurs?

A dedicated dispatch team coordinates pickup issues, in-transit exceptions, chassis or equipment problems, and container-return instructions. We provide timely feedback and help determine the next practical step.

Can you deliver to homes and commercial warehouses?

Yes. We review residential road access, clearance, unloading plans, warehouse appointments, receiving hours, dock instructions, and delivery-site restrictions before confirming service.

What information do you need for a quote?

Provide the port and terminal, container number and size, cargo weight and commodity, availability or last free day, full delivery address, destination type, access conditions, unloading method, and required timing.

Who is responsible for customs clearance and release?

The importer, customs broker, or cargo owner must complete customs clearance and provide all required terminal, steamship-line, and freight releases. We coordinate transportation after the container is available.

What extra charges can occur?

Possible charges include demurrage, detention, terminal storage, chassis use, overweight permits, waiting time, tolls, redelivery, appointments, or special equipment. Known items are explained in the quote, and new charges are communicated if conditions change.
